The CollectedCon People

The Dream Team!
In the vibrant world of designer toys and urban vinyl collectibles, a unique and exciting venture known as CollectedCon was born. This remarkable gathering came to life through the collaborative vision of four industry luminaries: Strangecat Toys, UVD Toys, Rotofugi, and Chris RWK.

Together, these pioneers united their expertise, creativity, and love for the art form to create CollectedCon — a haven for collectors, artists, and enthusiasts.

CollectedCon's formation is a testament to the power of collaboration and the enduring spirit of creativity within the world of designer toys, proving that when remarkable talents unite, they can create something truly exceptional.

Strangecat Toys

Founded in 2015, Strangecat Toys emerged from a deep-seated passion for designer toys and the desire to share this passion with others. What started as a small online shop has since grown into a vibrant hub for the global toy community.

From our humble beginnings, Strangecat Toys has been committed to showcasing the work of both established and emerging artists. We collaborate with talented creators from around the world to produce exclusive and limited-edition collectibles that push the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship.

UVD Toys

UVD Toys is an industry leading company in the art collectibles market, well known for their innovation and creativity! Founded in 2010 as the blog Urban Vinyl Daily, UVD pivoted in 2016 to start their own brand of unique art collectibles with the mission of putting their own spin on the medium! Since then, they have collaborated with numerous artists, brands, and galleries around the world to showcase their products!

Rotofugi

Established in July 2004 by Whitney and Kirby Kerr, Rotofugi is located on the north end of Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood in a beautiful vintage building. Since opening, Rotofugi has grown to become one of the world's premier sellers of designer toys from artists all over the world, featuring a diverse selection of vinyl figures, blind box toys and gashapon, plush, pop culture collectibles, and more.

Rotofugi is also home to The Tokidoki Shop at Rotofugi, a store within the store featuring a full selection of toys, apparel, and bags from the kawaii Japanese-inspired brand founded by Italian artist Simone Legno.

Rotofugi Gallery shares the space and features monthly art exhibits by both local, national, and international artists.

Chris RWK

Drawing influence from his childhood and the movies, TV shows, comic books, and music that he was exposed to, ChrisRWK’s paintings frequently cite past conceptions of popular culture embedded in his psyche's cache. His style derived from nostalgic pop culture creates a sense of familiarity when seeing ChrisRWK’s work – from the initial form, to the coloring, and personality of his artwork and characters. ChrisRWK’s works frequently reveal everyday musings and people that one might pass by without a second glance.

Chris launched the notorious website Robotswillkill.com in 2001, giving graffiti writers and artists a place to call home and share their art.

Chris' first designer toy launched in 2022 and continues to create new toys based on his characters each year since.
